Sanford Sheldon Medical Center is a 25 bed critical access hospital located in Sheldon, Iowa, and is dedicated to providing excellence in healthcare for the families and communities we serve. We provide healthcare that includes surgical, pediatric and emergency care for people of all ages. We also have an attached 70 bed nursing home and clinic with 5 Family Physicians and 5 Advanced Practice Practitioners.

The Chief Nursing Officer/Director of Nursing, along with the CEO/Administrator, has the overall responsibility for the day-to-day operations. This includes quality of patient/resident care, program/care management, environmental safety, budget constraints, and responding to identified needs to ensure regulatory compliance; performing necessary delegation and coordination of clinical, operational, and managerial activities to accomplish the objectives of the departments.

Qualifications: _ Graduate of an accredited Registered Nurse school of nursing.  Prefer Bachelors Degree in nursing with 3-5 years experience in hospital/long term care management (as appropriate). Must be a licensed RN and eligible for licensure in the state of Iowa. Must maintain continuing education hours to ensure current licensure.
